REPRESENTATIVE

The royal court members have a vital task in representing our great nation. They embody Unixploria wherever they are and, in a way, also personify all of our nation's strengths and virtues.

POLITICAL

The King is the state. He must approve every new legislation, which is always joint work between the King and the government cabinets. Most cabinet ministers can suggest a new monarch crowned to prevent misuse of the stately funds. The latter has not yet happened in the history of our great nation.

CULTURAL

The royal court and the cultural history for which it stands are as important, if not more important, than the royal family's physical appearance. The royal house is part of a long cultural tapestry. You might add a thread here and there, but the cultural fabric's history never changes; it only gets more affluent.

WHAT IS ENLIGHTENED UNIXPLORIAN MONARCHY?

The Enlightenment was a cultural movement in Europe during the 1700s, rooted in the late 1600s. The change was a strong force in the early 1700s, ending around 1800.

OUR KING

Leif Jan Christer Oxenmyr, King of Unixploria, Protector of Unixplorian Culture and Nature, Defender of the Unixplorian Christian Faith, Commander of the Order of St. Philip the Apostle, Recipient of the Renewal Day Medal, and Supreme Knight of the Star Cross Order.

The royal family's surname is relatively easy to translate into English. It consists of OXEN (plural of an ox) and MYR (mire, a stretch of muddy or swampy ground). The royal surname should be pronounced in Scandinavian form or the English equivalent, i.e., 'Oxenmire.'

The family name is symbolic of how we always persevere through difficult times. We keep crossing the roads less taken, coming out across the mire in glory.
