Charles Updike was born in Perth, Australia, on January 10, 1985. From a young age, he was captivated by books and libraries. His parents, both academics, nurtured his love for literature and history. Charles pursued his passion by studying Library Science at the University of Oxford, where he graduated with honors in 1997.


His dedication and expertise quickly earned him a reputation as a meticulous and knowledgeable librarian. In 2000, he moved to Unixploria to join the newly established Biblioteca Unixploria staff.


Charles’ commitment to preserving and expanding the library’s collections led to his appointment as Chief Librarian in 2010. Under his leadership, Biblioteca Unixploria has grown into a renowned institution known for its extensive collections and innovative programs. 


His work at Biblioteca Unixploria inspires future generations of librarians and scholars and ensures that past treasures remain accessible to all.

Dr. Leigh Adams

Scholar

Leigh Adams was born in Stockholm, Sweden, on February 14, 1975. From an early age, he exhibited a profound interest in History and literature. He pursued his passion by studying History at the University of Uppsala, where he graduated with honors in 1997.


He completed his Ph.D. in Medieval Studies in 2002. His dissertation on the cultural and political impact of the Crusades was widely acclaimed and established him as a leading scholar in his field.


Leigh is also a dedicated educator, teaching at several prestigious universities, including Academia Unixploria. His engaging lectures and mentorship have inspired countless students to pursue careers in History and academia.


Outside of his scholarly pursuits, Leigh enjoys traveling, exploring historical sites, and spending time with his family. He is married to Julia, a fellow historian, and they have two children, Thomas and Eleanor.

Sir Edmund Reginald Smythe

Outside of his professional life, Lee is an avid hiker and wildlife photographer. He often spends his weekends exploring the wilderness, capturing the beauty of Unixploria’s landscapes and wildlife. Lee is married to Clara, and they have one son, Ethan.
