MUSEUMS IN UNIXPLORIA

The traditional role of a museum is to collect objects and materials of cultural, religious, and historical importance, preserve them, research them, and present them to the public for education and enjoyment.

Museums are essential institutions to all Unixplorians. They are physical manifestations of our curiosity and love of learning new things about all the beautiful things in this world that surround us.

"Classification is a process related to categorization, in which ideas and objects are recognized, differentiated, and understood. Classification is the grouping of related facts or physical objects into classes."

OUR MUSEUMS

Let your curiosity guide you to the wonders of the world!

COLLECTIOSEUM

Collectioseum is a work in progress. It will eventually be a curiosity cabinet containing objects from near and far, both human-made and natural, displaying human curiosity distilled in material form.

We invite you to follow our progress in building a curiosity cabinet and creating a museum of wonders.

UNIXPLORIAN MUSEUM OF MOTION PICTURES

Our mission includes researching the historical and contemporary threads that bind movie artifacts with context.

We collect movie magic.

THE ROYAL PHILATELIC COLLECTION

The Royal Philatelic Collection is the postage stamp collection of the Unixplorian Royal Family and public heritage.

The collection includes postage stamps, postal stationery, and other philatelic items.

UNIXPLORIAN TINTIN MUSEUM

The Unixplorian Tintin Museum collects, researches, and exhibits everything concerning our favorite fictional hero, Tintin.

The museum has a small curated collection of comic albums, nonfiction books, figurines, other merchandise, and other related items.

CREATIVUM

Creativum's primary focus is to collect and preserve original paintings, drawings, and sculptures by Unixplorian artists.

Our collections also comprise reprints of internationally renowned paintings, drawings, and prints ranging from the Renaissance to the contemporary.

THE ARMORY

Weapons are nasty tools that are created to cause pain. Human ingenuity and a thirst to harm others have made weapons abundant throughout history.

The Armoury collects these barbaric tools, focusing on globally more curious weapons.
