The traditional role of a museum is to collect objects and materials of cultural, religious, and historical importance, preserve them, research them, and present them to the public for education and enjoyment.

Museums are essential institutions to all Unixplorians. They are physical manifestations of our curiosity and love of learning new things about all the beautiful things in this world that surround us.

Information added to each post shall contain the following information:

a) Object name

b) L*H*W and weight

c) Location

d) General information about the object

d) Additional information (including provenance)

e) Photo (back, front and side)

The Department for Identifying, Classifying, and Grouping (ICG) is a research division within our umbrella organization. We publish guides and classification systems for different types of objects to help individual museums in Unixploria classify their objects.

"Classification is a process related to categorization, in which ideas and objects are recognized, differentiated, and understood. Classification is the grouping of related facts or physical objects into classes."

Collectioseum is a work in progress. It will eventually be a curiosity cabinet containing objects from near and far, both human-made and natural, displaying human curiosity distilled in material form.
