Long before time wove its threads into the fabric of the world, the Kingdom of Unixploria was but a vast void—a silent abyss. Deep within this emptiness slumbered Ælvindar, the Dreamer of Realms, born from the cosmic collision of Louhi's star-fire and Ymir's glacial breath. Ælvindar was neither male nor female, but a being of raw potential, pulsating with light and shadow.
One day, stirred by a dream so vivid, Ælvindar awoke. From their song sprang the great rivers of Unixploria—the Äternäl, whose waters shimmered like molten silver, and the Nåttström, dark and shadowy as the night sky. As the Dreamer sang, mountains rose to kiss the heavens and forests unfurled, cradling the rivers in their verdant embrace.
Yet the creation was incomplete, and Ælvindar, weary from their labors, rested. From their tears fell stars that became the creatures of Unixploria: the Elkyr, mighty elk-like guardians who roamed the forests; and the Vaanikkä, shimmering winged beings who danced upon the rivers. Among the stars that fell, one burned brightest—a comet named Solväkyr, the flame bearer.
Solväkyr struck the earth and splintered into two beings: Tyrä and Ilmikka, the Sun and Moon Twins. Tyrä wielded the fiery hammer of Surt and brought day and vitality, while Ilmikka carried a frostwoven staff, nurturing dreams and guiding the night. Together, they shaped the cycles of Unixploria—the endless dance of light and dark.
But darkness lingered at the edges of creation. From Louhi’s jealous wrath, the shadow-beast Marrastyr emerged—a creature of chaos that sought to unravel Ælvindar’s world. Marrastyr whispered curses into the waters, poisoning the Nåttström and turning its shadows into despair.
When despair crept into the hearts of the creatures, the Elkyr called upon Ælvindar. The Dreamer, hearing the cries of their creation, tore a shard from their essence, forging the hero Vaelstrom—the Flame of Unity. Vaelstrom, clad in armor of star-metal and wielding the spear Ilma-Tyrn, descended upon Marrastyr. Their battle raged across Unixploria for seven cycles, carving valleys and fjords into the land.
Finally, Vaelstrom struck a fatal blow, shattering Marrastyr into fragments. These fragments sank deep into the earth, forming the cursed obsidian of Unixploria—a dark metal that hums with chaos. Though victorious, Vaelstrom sacrificed their physical form to seal the shadow’s remnants within the caverns of Mörklund.
Ælvindar, in their sorrow and gratitude, transformed Vaelstrom’s essence into the constellations that now guide the people of Unixploria. The Elkyr and Vaanikkä still speak of Vaelstrom's bravery in hushed tones, their legends woven into the songs of rivers and rustling leaves.
The Kingdom of Unixploria grew from this tale—a land where creation and destruction, light and dark, forever intertwine. Its people honor Ælvindar’s song through rituals under Tyrä and Ilmikka’s watchful gaze, and the warriors of Unixploria wield shards of Vaelstrom’s star-metal, imbued with the hero’s enduring strength.
