I cannot explain when, how, or even why I became a disciple of the Christian faith.

I know I've had faith in God for as long as I can remember. In my childhood, God was supporting but also ever-present in prayer and thought. Everything was comfortable and without doubt or metaphysical ruminations.

I have not lost my faith in God, and His only begotten Son, Jesus Christ. However, my opinions and ideas about what my faith means have both deepened and become more difficult. Life is not always black or white, nor is it so one-sided and straightforward as my childhood faith was.

The only thing I can always be sure of is that God will still be there for me, whatever wrongdoings or confusing thoughts I may ponder, no matter what mistakes I make. Perhaps that is also what faith is all about. Being infinitely loved despite not always deserving it.
